EARINGS

Dangling earrings look great on women with long necks and women that are tall. For other women, the dangling earrings will be too close to their shoulders. Dangling earrings add to formal look. Earrings that sparkle or reflect light are a really good choice when dressing up.

For a sporty or athletic look, smaller earrings are best. Gemstones should be avoided. Interesting shapes and designs in metal are a good choice.

NECKLACES

When wearing a necklace, it should show above the neckline. For longer and larger necklaces, they can hang over the clothes. For necklaces with strands, they should be above or below the neckline. A necklace should be an accent and not the main attraction.

BRACELETS

Gemstones in bracelets have their place with evening wear. Some simple bracelets look fine during the day with many styles. Bracelets that can get in the way while performing duties should be saved for special occasions. Usually bracelets are worn on the right wrist. Petite, small boned women may need bracelets made smaller. Bracelets and rings worn on the same hand should match.

RINGS

Engagement and wedding rings are usually worn at all times. For this reason, care should be taken when choosing a wedding set. Additional rings can be worn. When worn on the same hand they should compliment each other. Wearing one or two rings are acceptable, more can look excessive. When not engaged or married, a ring should not be worn on the ring finger of the left hand. Smaller rings should be worn on smaller hands and fingers.

Making a comeback and becoming more commonly worn, brooches are seen being worn by women of all ages. Simple designs work best for younger women and older women tend to wear the more intricately designed brooches.
